Gamma Chamaeleontis (y Cha), is a star located in the constellation Chamaeleon. Gamma Chamaeleontis is also known as HR 4174, and HD 92305. Gamma Chamaeleontis is an M0III giant star with an effective temperature of 3700 Kelvin. It has an apparent visual magnitude of +4.11, and an absolute visual magnitude of −1.4. It is located from the sun and has a mass of 1.2 solar masses. Gamma Chamaeleontis is an irregular variable star.
